Common questions about download safety and installation issues

Browser warns the file is unsafe

The download is a ZIP archive containing the installer EXE. Some browsers flag unsigned executables. This is a standard SmartScreen warning — click "Keep" or "Download anyway" to proceed. The file is safe.

Windows SmartScreen blocks the installer

When you see "Windows protected your PC", click "More info" then "Run anyway". This happens because the EXE is not yet code-signed. Code-signing is planned for a future release.

Cannot sign in

Check that your email is correct. Try signing in with Telegram for instant access. Make sure your internet connection is active.

Bot not visible after install

Restart MetaTrader 5. Check the Expert Advisors tab in the Navigator panel (Ctrl+N). The bot should appear under the Experts folder.

Why is the download a ZIP file?

ZIP packaging ensures compatibility with all browsers and avoids overly aggressive security filters. Inside the archive you will find the installer EXE, a README, and a shortcut to this guide.

Frequently asked questions about the installer

Is the installer safe?

Yes. The installer is account-bound and contains no malware. Windows SmartScreen may show a warning because the EXE is not yet code-signed — this is normal for new software. Code-signing is planned.

Where does it install?

The installer itself lives in %LOCALAPPDATA%\FxRobotEasy\Installer\. Bots are installed into your MetaTrader 5 terminals or into portable MT5 instances created by the installer.

Can I use it on multiple computers?

Yes. Sign in with the same account on any number of machines. Your licenses and settings sync automatically.

How do I uninstall?

Use standard Windows 'Add or Remove Programs', or simply delete the installer folder. Portable MT5 instances can be removed by deleting their folders.

Do I need MetaTrader 5 already installed?

For Portable installations — no, the installer creates a self-contained MT5 automatically. For Standard installations — yes, you need an existing MT5.
